She did it!!!!!!!

So we have been talking about potting training Morgan. We tried before a couple time but wanted nothing to do with it. So we held it off for a while until she started to act interested. She finally started showing interest by running and getting the potty herself and using it. I went to the store and got her pull ups and underwear. Morgan was so excited about she wore a pull up and three pairs of underwear at one time. She didn't have one accident the first day. She even pooped on the potty!!!!! (seeing her do that finally got Cody going.... now he won't stop . lol)

The next day when Morgan got up i put her on the potty. As soon as I did she pooped again. I went to put the pull up on her and she wanted nothing to do with it. She only wanted underwear on. I figured we would try it for a little bit and see how she does. She was dry all day with not problems. She is doing great, She is 100% done with diapers :)

our trip to florida

I guess I should start off by saying that the weather follows us everywhere! It rained off and on for weeks before we left. When we got there it rained the entire time. grrrrr We did manage to go to Busch Gardens. The Kids had so much fun. They even went on there first roller coasters. Cody's went upside down and Morgan was a water ride.

When Cody went on his ride he didn't know what to expect. They were in line and he was making different noises and playing on the bars. When they got on the ride he was fine, he just sat there kicking the seat, even when they were going up he didn't notice. But as soon as they went down he put his head between his legs and started yelling to get him off. When he got off, he looked at Nathan and yelled at him "THAT WAS NOT FUNNY!" when he came back to me he was so proud of himself telling me he did it.

There wasn't very much else we could do because of the rain. So we spent the day together. We went to the mall and got lunch, we let the kids play. We even went and saw up with the kids. It was so nice, we had the whole theater to ourselves.

We spent a lot of time at the edwards house. They spent a lot of time playing video games while the kids played. It was a great visit. We can't wait to go back, hopefully when it's not raining.

boy has he changed

The last time most of you saw Cody he was still working on his ABCs and shapes. He was also in a size 2t -3t. He can Now spell his first and last name, along with memaw, papa, cat, and dog. He can now sing his entire alphabet, ba ba black sheep and twinkle twinkle little star. He is finally starting to help out around the house. He loves to help cook and wash the counters and the floor. He loves to have stories read to him, his favorite right now is green eggs and ham. I can almost read it by heart we have read it so much. lol We are working on his letters and writing them. Pretty soon he will be writing you all letters. He is getting very brave, he finally went in the ocean, with the help of Nathan. Cody wouldn't go in unless his daddy went with him.

Cody and Nathan are spending a lot of time together. For some crazy reason Cody likes watching golf to. So Nathan and Cody relax on the couch and watch golf together every day. They even went putt putting for the first time the other day. I heard he did really well. Even though he would hit the ball once, then pick up the ball and put it in the hole.

He is also growing a lot. He decided that he want to wear pants the other day. The last time he wore them he had to have them rolled up because they were so long. Keep in mind that was not that long ago. Now they go and 2 inches above his ankle. He is now in 4t-5t clothes.

Pretty soon Cody will be starting school but for now we are just going to enjoy the summer together.

Happy father's day

I wanted to write about Nathan today since it's father's day. The kids have been going around the house all morning saying happy father's day daddy. He is going to love it when he gets home. He has been working so hard lately with field training. But he is also taking time for us, Last week we went to the beach and had a blast spending the day together. Yesterday Nathan and Cody we watching golf while morgan was napping and Cody asked him if he could golf with him when he got bigger. So what does nathan do? he decided to take cody to play putt putt golf. Cody was so happy that he got to go out with just daddy. We are even going out today :) we are taking the kids to the splash park when he gets home from golfing.

So here's to you nathan. we love you very much. thank you for being such a great daddy and husband.

A fun day at the beach

We went to the beach yesterday with Joe and Conner. It was a great day to go, the sun was out and no chance of rain. When we got there Joe and Conner headed straight for the water. I followed with Morgan, she cried a little but she was ok with it, Then came Nathan and Cody if you didn't see him you would have thought Cody was being killed or something by the way he was screaming. So Nathan took Cody back to play in the sand. When we came out of the water Cody was burried in the sand, I don't know why he wanted to do that, but he talked about it since we said we were going to the beach, and he finally got to do it. He had the biggest smile you had ever seen, who ever thought to bury someone in sand to make them happy.

After a while the tide started to come in and the water started making what i guess you could call a kiddy pool. Cody played in there while Morgan kept wanting to go back in the water. By this time she was having so much fun she kept asking to be put down. So I would hold her arms and she would float with the waves. She didn't want to get out of the water. I wanted to try somthing different to try and get Cody in the water so i got a towel and spread it out in the water and sat on in. As soon as I did that he ran over and sat with me. Then he finally went in the water and had a blast.

I forgot to mention the whole time we were in the water and playing Joe and Nathan took the little hole that Cody was in and started making a huge fort. The kids were also helping, until Morgan came up to me very upset and told me "they took my bucket mommy, get it." The guys took the kids buckets so the could dig more. lol then they got the kids to go and fill the buckets over and over with water. Morgan was the only one brave enough to go the water to get it.

When we were getting ready to leave Joe laid in the fort and decided that he want to be burried also. By time everyone was done with only thing we could see was his head. The kids thought it was so funny because they could find his body. that was becasue they were standing on it.

We had such a great day Morgan was asleep before we left the parking lot and Conner soon followed. The only bad thing about the trip was the three hour drive home because of the traffic jam. I can't wait to do it again.

she's getting so big

Morgan is starting to get so big. she can dress herself now, so she wants to do it by herself now. I was getting everyone dressed this morning and she decided she wanted a dress. so she put it on by herself (with a little help on the buttons). we came downstairs and she saw a shirt that she want to wear, so she put that on to. after we ate breakfast, she went to get her blanket and came downstairs with a pajama top over the shirt and dress she was already wearing. After a little while i guess she decided she needed more because she went and got a pair of shorts to. I wonder what she will put on next.

the joys of motherhood. lol

Nathan was out golfing today so i decided to take the kids for a walk to the shoppette to get doughnuts for breakfast and let them play at the park. Keep in mind it only takes about a minute to drive there. We started heading out and Morgan decided she wants to take her babies for a walk also. I thought sure why not, it's not that far. So Cody is on his scooter and Morgan is pushing her stroller. This is going to be fun, wrong. Cody kept crying becasue he didn't want to to wear his helment, and Morgan was crashing her stroller into all the trees and list posts that she passed. After an hour we finally get to the store to get them there doughnuts. they were so happy about, until they realized we had to wait in a very long line to pay. Morgan cried the entire time and kept throwing herself on the ground.
We finally make it out the store and Cody decided He wanted to be nice and open the door for every person that would go through. It was a very nice thing, but what made it, was Morgan yelling " yets go cody,+ my dooooo nut wating" she said it over and over until he finally came.
Now at the park, they finally get to enjoy there doughnuts and play. they were so good, running everything. Morgan even climbed the big things she couldn't before.
We were on the way home and Morgan was done with the stroller and decided she wanted to carry the babies. I guess she thought they were tired from going down the slides, being thrown up the stairs since they can't climb and being thrown from a swing since they can't hold on. So she walked and sang to them on the way home.
Cody on the other hand, cried and screamed the entire way home because he was hot and wanted to go home. took us an hour to get home and boy were we ready to be home. One very tired Morgan that had to be carried, a very mad and upset Cody because he wanted me to carry the scooter, and one headless baby doll we finally made it back.
To top it off, we walk in the house and Cody runs up and gives me a huge hug and says " i love you mommy, your the best mommy in the world, thank you for taking us to the park. can we do it again now?" lol you gotta love the joys of mommyhood. :)

Morgan is geeting so big

Today Morgan decided to do something very different for her. I put her to bed for a nap and she went straight to bed. I came back to check on her and as I started to open the door I can hear her singing patty cake to her baby. It was the cutest thing, I can't believe she remembered almost all of it.
When she woke up from her nap the first thing I saw that she took off her clothes and put on pajamas all by herself. The next thing I noticed when i picked her up was she took off her diaper. So she slept with no diaper on and she didn't have any accidents. I think we are going to start potty training her soon. Wish us luck.

withs with all the rules?

I took the kids back to the splash park today becuse they had so much fun yesterday. but today was so much different. keep in mind this is a place for kids and we all know how kids are. they told us there is no runnning, no fast walking, no skipping, no hopping, no yelling, no food, and no drinks. If the child does not listen they will get time out for 5 minutes no matter what the age, if you do it again it's time out longer. If you do something again you are kicked out for the day. so much for having fun. poor morgan gave up and just wanted me to hold her. we are going to try another on monday. hopefully that one is better.

A day at the water park

I took the kids to a water park on base with some friends of ours. It was so nice, they had chairs for the adults to sit in and an area on the outside to sit on the ground and eat. The best park about it is it's only 1 dollar per child. Cody went straight in the water, well sort of. he ran up to and realized it was water and took of running. after a minute or so he was fine and had so much fun we could not get him out.
morgan on the other hand was very scared, she cried and wanted me to hold her. after she saw all the kids playing and having fun she slowly started inching her way into the water areas. she started very small by playing with the sprinklers that watered the flowers. after about 20 minutes she was in the water with everyone else.
they had a great day and they are very tired. this is definatly something we will be doign a lot.

cody and his best friend

I took cody outside today to play while morgan was sleeping. He was swimming and playing with some of his friends. They were all squirting each other with water guns and splashing each other. Well cody sprays a little boy so that boy sprayed him back. Cody got so upset, he came up to me and tells me "I am never playing with him ever again, he's soooooooooo mean!" So I told him that we would go in so he didn't have to play with him. after I told him Cody gets upset and tells me " No mommy! he's my best friend, i want to stay out here with my best friend." kids change there minds so fast.
